LEHIGH VALLEY COMING TOGETHER TO NEGATE IMPACT OF RACISM
Many of the Lehigh Valley’s major leadership groups will be coming together to announce an unprecedented effort to dull the impact of racism on the people who suffer its consequences. The project, called “Color Outside the Lines” will be announced at a press conference on Tuesday, October 22, at 11:00 PM. The press conference will take place at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center on Bethlehem’s Southside.
The project, organized by a diverse task force of community leaders, with staff support from the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, has been endorsed by some of the most powerful organizations in the region, including the Lehigh Valley Partnership, the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, a coalition of school superintendents called the Consortium for Excellence and Equity, Workforce Board Lehigh Valley, Lehigh Valley Arts Council, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, My Brother’s Keeper and PPL.
